About me & etc

This business is exactly the name; body positivity. I made this business with women in mind, specifically Black Women because we are under-represented. A lot of the things I will sell are Afrocentric, and I'm hoping it floods the market just like our genres do. This business was made during the toughest times of my life and I'm hoping to also incorporate mental health in my business to help others. Feeling good about yourself can be a good boost, whether that boost is small, you gotta start somewhere with self love. Love the skin that you are in, because you are uniquely crafted.

African Waist Beads

In African traditions, waist beads are for sure meant to be worn under clothing, however, in America, we have tendencies to alter our appearances to best fit social norms in our community. Waist beads can be made of glass, clay, or wooden beads. Different colors signify different things. African waist beads have been worn by Africans dating back centuries and centuries. All of a sudden, African-Americans have been rocking these all over. Supposedly giving them out for bridal receptions, or even wanting to connect back to some old roots. Because I sure have wanted to connect back to my roots. Anyways, no matter what size you are, I hope these waist beads will give out a sense of empowerment and confidence when you wear your cropped tops this summer. Let your scars, wrinkles, rolls, or zebra stripes LOOSE. Be comfortable in your skin because who can do that for you? No one.
